    Camp Alpine 2008

    Kandersteg, Switzerland

    13-19 July, 2008

    Camp Alpine 2008

    Camp Freedom 2008

    TAC Summer Camps

  •  We only have 30 slots for the camp and about 50 boys in the Troop.  The sign-ups are on a first come, first served basis so make sure you bring your deposit in to the Troop as soon as possible to secure a slot for your son.
  • The Kandersteg International Scout Centre sets amongst the beautiful mountainous backdrop that Switzerland offers. TROOPS NEED TO BRING THEIR OWN TENTS, COOKING GEAR, and SLEEPING GEAR. Food will be distributed through a central commissary for each unit to cook while at base camp. Monday evening troops are invited to participate in an international Carnival and BBQ hosted by the Kandersteg Scout Centre (included in fee).

Camp Alpine is a traditional Scout Camp with a difference. It offers a combination of an excellent Merit Badge program and a full-fledged High Adventure Program. The Accelerated Camping Experience (ACE) will be conducted for first year campers. Last year we offered 26 merit badges. Friday evening all Scouts are invited to an International Campfire at the Kandersteg Scout Centre. Each troop/crew will have one day for a troop program day (Wednesday or Thursday)

We offer an opportunity where a Scout can participate in a High Adventure Program only. We recommend these activities for Scouts and Venturers aged 14 and older. There are a limited number of hikes that are available for Scouts ages 11 to 13.

All programs are booked by us through the Programme Office at Kandersteg. The Leader's Guide will contain information on programs pre-booked by Camp Alpine with a deadline for reservations which are also on a first come first served basis (i.e. the deadline might be 1 May but if it is full on 1 April, it is full).

Last year we offered several different hikes, and one raft trip. The Leader's Guide will have complete information on prices and programs.
